Religious Education
At Carr Lodge we teach Religious Education weekly following the Doncaster Syllabus for RE supplemented by Discovery RE to personalise our RE curriculum for our pupils. We supplement our Religious Education through hands on experiences, trips and visitors which can be seen highlighted in purple within our Intent Documentation.
Specific aspects of religion, relationships, morality and the natural world are covered. Though mainly Christian based, other religions and beliefs are explored. Parents/carers who wish to withdraw their children from Religious Education or the collective worship part of the morning assembly are invited to discuss the matter with the Principal so that special arrangements can be made. Children will be given appropriate work and will be supervised by a member of staff.
