How do we communicate with parents?

Communicating with you is an important part of what we do, making sure you get the correct information about activities, events and school news that really matters is something we care about.

Here is an overview of the different communications strategies that we use:

Parentmail  - Main School Office Correspondence 

Most parent information is sent through this platform - please see the link below to make sure you have access.

Parentpay - Parent school payments - including school meals/trips/kingfisher club 

Your activation letter will be provided once you have returned all starter pack documents. During the activation process you will be guided through changing your username and password to something more memorable; you can also merge your accounts if you have more than one child at the academy.

Text messages / Phone calls- We will contact parents by text parents or telephone if we need to inform you of anything on the day. Please make sure your contact details are upto date and inform the school office of any changes by emailing: enquiries@carrlodgeacademy.org

Tapestry  (Nursery & Reception only) - Teacher to parent platform to liaise with learning and development. New starters will be given paperwork to sign up to this service. Please speak to your class teacher if you do not have access to this platform. 

Seesaw (Y1 - Y6)- Teacher to parent platform to liase with learning and development. Your class teacher will organise enrollment on this platform. 

Newsletters -    We will send out a newsletter each term which includes key dates and key information for parents. This is done via Parentmail and available on our website.

CoolMilk Cool Milk is the UK’s leading school and nursery milk supplier, working in partnership with local authorities and early years groups to supply
free and subsidised school milk to children in pre-schools, nurseries and primary schools.

Kingfisher Bookings  - This is done every half-term via a Parentmail booking form. 

School Meal Bookings - Meals are chosen every half-term via a Parentmail booking form and are on a 3 week rolling menu. 

First Aid communication - If your child has an incident that requires first aid in school, we will email you on the day to inform you. A slip will also be sent home with your child with further details of the incident .
